Mine eyes beheld the beauty
Of a glorious summer rose.
My fingers pricked by cupids thorns,
Her perfume in my nose.
Like the apple of a wicked witch
It only took one bite.
As I fell into the arms of love,
And slept all through the night.
And when I woke, I thought it might,
have been but just a dream.
If not for petals found upon my chest.
And upon my finger a wedding ring.
